Force has filed for open city council seat
by Elyssa Parnell
Staff Writer

NEWBERRY — One person has filed for the open Newberry City Council position made available by the resignation of former councilman, Gregg Summer. David T. Force is the current candidate for the position.

Those wishing to step forward as a write-in may do so until June 11. After that point, if there are no write-in candidates, an election is not needed and Force will become the newest member of Newberry City Council.

Pending the need for an election, the date and location will be announced.
