WHITMIRE — The Whitmire Community School held its annual academic banquet May 14 and 39 students were honored.
Elementary
Third grade students were Cason English, Qua’Asia Epps, and Ryan Hood. Fourth grade students were Marrisa Baker, Dalton Gambrell, Samantha Hood, Keri Lawson, Barrett Martin, Mikhail Moss-Jenkins, Kade Proctor, Alexus Sanders, Casey Stevens, Hanna Wagner, Julianne Whisenant, and Isaac Williams. Fifth grade students were Wyatt Crase, Amaya Patterson, and Jacqueline Riser.
Middle
From the sixth grade was Jacob Whisenant. Seventh graders were Benjamin Burleson, Angela Cody, Cameron Felker, and Mark Stevenson. Eighth graders were Haley Hughes, Michaela Knox, Sara McCall, and Lea Toby.
High
The ninth-graders were Nathan Baxley, Madison Brock, Bradley Burleson, and Austin Chick. In tenth grade Amy Andrews, Andrea Bowers, and Bethany Cromer were the honorees. Eleventh grade honorees were Erica Hall, Shimia Hunter, and Erin Jeter. The twelfth graders were Breanna Lindler and Savannah Simon.
Bethany Cromer gave the invocation and the speaker was Jesse Baker of W. E. Baker and Son and a 1990 alumus. Whitmire Community School would like to extend a special thanks to Whitmire First Baptist Church for the refreshments provided at the banquet.
