The Newberry Fire Department provided fire prevention training to residence assistants at Newberry College on Monday. During the day there was a classroom session and then hands on fire extinguisher training. Newberry City Fire Chief Keith Minick says the training increased the awareness level of those at the college and taught them how to look for ways to make the campus more fire safe.
