Wheels for Heroes set for Saturday in Greenwood

Veterans, EMS, fire and law enforcement will be honored Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Greenwood.

Wheels for Heroes 2 is a open bike and car cruise-in plus a bike benefit run with a $1,000 purse.

The event will be held at the Piedmont Plaza on By-pass 72, across from Ballentine Ford and Performance Cycle in Greenwood.

Car buffs from Newberry will be participating in the Greenwood event.

There will also be a live concert from 5 to 8 p.m.

On Friday there will be silent and live auctions at the New Veterans Affairs Building on Main Street in Greenwood.

The silent preview is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and the live auction from 7 to 8 p.m.

The proceeds will support the Greenwood County Hall of Heroes Fund.
