Dear Editor,
On Jan. 10, 2013, our church, St. Paul Lutheran Church of Pomaria was destroyed by fire.
Our congregation has worshiped for 250 years and is a mother congregation for some local churches.
The morning of the fire, local firefighters, first responders, and law enforcement quickly arrived on the scene.
Though the firefighters could not save our church, they battled the blaze tirelessly. We can not thank them enough for all that they did for our congregation and continue to do for our community.
Please when you see firefighters, law enforcement, and first responders thank them for their service.
Through this tragedy, God has touched our congregation. We feel the power of His love through the prayers and kind deeds of all those that surround us.
Our congregation would like to thank everyone for their support.
Truly nothing is impossible with His love as we look forward to another 250 years serving God.
