GREENVILLE — Application for the 2013 Science P.L.U.S. Institute is open to any certified South Carolina public school teacher in grades 3-8 whose job responsibilities include teaching science. There is no application fee and housing is provided free for teachers who live more than an hour’s drive from the center and have no other housing options.

The deadline for the initial selection is Feb. 8, 2013. Teachers submitting applications after that date will be placed on an alternate list.

Your elementary and middle schools should have received an Institute poster to display and applications. If your school did not receive the poster and applications, you may find information, course descriptions, and a downloadable application on the Roper Mountain Science Center website.

Go to www.ropermountain.org and choose “Science P.L.U.S.”under the “Education” tab. Applications are accepted via fax: 864-355-8951.
