Children’s author Jerry Pollatta, famous for his themed alphabet books, visited Reuben Elementary School to share how gets ideas for his books. First grader Colin Phillips explored skulls which was a prop that Pollatta brought to illustrate his point. The author came on Sept. 19 and the students enjoyed it a lot.
First grader Latajah Oliver also sees how children’s author Jerry Pollatta gets ideas to write his books. He brought skulls to show the students ways to be creative in overcoming writer’s block.
Older students worked with children’s author, Jerry Pollatta, on revision techniques and also entered his imagination as they got attacked by a giant tarantella and swam across the Atlantic Ocean, as pictured here.
