PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina Cross Country teams ran at the Region meet on Wednesday at the Ninety-Six Historical Site.
Both of the Rebels boys and girls teams placed third. Ninety-Six were strong in winning both of the boys and girls team titles.
The top Rebel girl was junior Kate Sidener who completed the 3.1 mile course in 23 minutes and finished second overall.
The top Rebel boy runner was freshman Carlos Hernandez with a time of 19:06 minutes. He finished in sixth place. Both Sidener and Hernandez earned All-Region honors for their places.
Other top Mid-Carolina runners were: Madison Cates, 24:50; Meliza Pascual, 25:02; Tiffany Cotney, 25:16; Cristian Berruquin, 19:31; Matt Lewis, 19:42; and Noe Hernandez, 20:21.
