The permit was filed Tuesday afternoon and the New Black Panthers paid the $25 permit fee.
Police Chief Jackie Swindler says he has approved the permit that will allow the march.
The outrage march against hate crimes and justice for Anthony Hill will start with a gathering at Wise Street Park at 3 p.m. and the march will begin at 5 p.m.
The march will go from the park to the Courthouse.
After the march there “will be a closed meeting where residents and concerned citizens will continue discussions of actions needed to be addressed,” according to a press release from the New Black Panther group.
The New Black Panther group has also formed a local chapter with Tiffany Gibson acting as its chair.
Swindler says no other groups have filed permits to demonstrate on Saturday but adds the march will be like a ballgame which people from each side can attend.
