MC Middle gets two wins over Saluda

PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina Middle School football teams defeated Saluda on Thursday.

The seventh grad team won 24-6.

For the Rebels Curtis Graham scored a touch down on a four-yard run.

Cade Ruff scored on a quarterback keeper to get the extra two points.

Jalen Bates Caldwell then scored on a seven yard pass from Ruff. Isaiah Johnson then scored the two point conversion for the Rebels.

Johnson was able to make a 32-year run for a touchdown with Ruff getting the two point conversion on a quarterback keeper.

On defense Rodrick Byrd recovered a fumble for the Rebels.

Graham and Mason Hawkins led the seventh grade Rebels with five tackles each.

The eighth grade Rebel defeated Saluda by a score of 12 to 6.

The only offensive touchdown came from R.J. Wadsworth on a 34-years pass from quarterback Corey Stone.

The Zach Hentz scored for the Rebels after a 24-yard run after stripping a the ball from a Saluda play.

Hentz and Wadsworth also recorded an interception each for the Rebels.

Iyon Thompson got his first sack of the season during the game.

Jevon Boyd, Damien Gorie, Wadsworth, Drew Cromer, Joe Cook, Hentz, and Al Moore each made two tackles for the Rebels.
