The following people were booked into the Newberry County Detention Center. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

Etheline Kelly Oliver, 73, was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence.

S.C. Probation, Pardon and Parole

Alton Timothy Greeley, 47, was arrested and charged with violation of probation warrant.

Newberry County Sheriff’s Office

John Wayne Brown, 46, was arrested and charged with trespassing and petit or simple larceny.

Sergio Mariano Salmeron, 36, was arrested and charged with driving without a license, driving on wrong side of road and failure to possess registration card.

John Earl Bates, 23,was arrested and charged with instigating, aiding, or participating in riot, carrying a weapon and discharging firearms into a dwelling.

Pettis Phelan Chick, 44, was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence.

Larry Wilson, 63, was arrested and charged with driving under suspension, failure to maintain proof of insurance in motor vehicle, speeding and failure to return driver’s license after notice of suspension, cancellation or revocation
