PROSPERITY — Casimir Frank Danielowski Sr., 87, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Palmetto Health Richland.

Born on Feb. 13, 1925, in Minooka, Pa., he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Suchdolski Danielowski. He was retired with 23 years of service as a Sergeant First Class with the U.S. Army. He served in Italy during World War II and twice in Korea, once being in Berlin, Germany. Mr. Danielowski was retired after 20 years from the U.S. Postal Service. During his tenure with the postal service he was bestowed the Letter Carrier of the Year Award. He was a volunteer for eight years with the Lexington Medical Center, was an active member of the Little Mountain Ruritan Club. He attended Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church where he was a member of the Adult I Sunday school class and the Young at Heart.

Mr. Danielowski is survived by his wife, Gloria Boland Danielowski; a son, C.F. “Cas” (Karen) Danielowski Jr. of Charleston; daughter, Peggy Ann (John) Defonte of Wantagh, N.Y.; stepdaughters, Laura (Jeff) Bullard and Mary Deal both of Prosperity; sisters, Verna Leuthe and Helen Paris both of Scranton, Pa.; brothers, Joseph Danielowski of Naugatuck, Conn. and Edward Danielowski of Scranton, Pa.; grandchildren, Connor Casimir Danielowski, Kelly Marie Danielowski and step-grandchildren, Daniella Defonte, Jeffery Bullard Jr. and Sammy Bullard. Mr. Danielowski was predeceased by sisters, Mary Schlein and Jean Eichorn and a brother, Stanley Danielowski.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Stoudemayer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6–8 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home in Newberry. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Bus Fund, 816 Mt. Tabor Church Road, Little Mountain, SC 29075.

Active pallbearers will be Guy Dana, Cody Dellinger, Jeff Bullard, Jeffery Bullard Jr., James Gagliardi, Justin Cannon, Jerry Richardson and Gene Boland.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Adult I Sunday school class of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and Little Mountain Ruritans.

Mr. Danielowski loved his family and enjoyed life to the fullest.
