NEWBERRY — From the classics to romance to novels to cookbooks to history and even more types of books are available for sale at low prices at this weekends annual Friends of the Newberry County Library System book sale.

The sale will be on Friday from 3-6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

This year’s sale will be held at 1206 Main Street across from Books on Main.

While some rare and collectors items are marked at higher prices, most hardback books are marked at $2 each and paperbacks will sell for $1 each. The lowest cost books are romances at 10 cents each.

In addition to shelves and tables full of books there are also audio and video tapes and CD’s available.

A host of children books are also available for young readers and parents.

All money received from the sale will be used for the benefit of the Newberry County Library System.

This year, the Friends group donated $6,000 to the library to fund e-books.
