NEWBERRY — Pink Out is Newberry High’s annual fall fundraiser for local cancer charities.

The school donates money raised to Susan G. Komen and Relay for Life. They also work to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. This is a great project that students truly embrace and enjoy.

There will be T-shirts, ribbons, sidewalk chalk, memorials, and many other things to help raise awareness during Pink Out 2012.

If anyone would like to purchase a Pink Out shirt, they are available at BJ Graphix in Newberry. For more information, contact Dianne Hartness at Newberry High by calling 321-2621.

Support the annual Pink Out at the Newberry vs. Ninety Six football game on Oct. 12.
