INMAN — Billie Williams Snider, 80, beloved Nana and Granny, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Bobbie, Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012.
Mrs. Snider was the wife of the late James Robert “Bob” Snider and was the daughter of the late Algie E. and Sallie W. Williams.
Mrs. Snider was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, the Altar Guild, Episcopal Church Women and past member of the Vestry. She is retired from Newberry County School in 1995 after over 24 years of service.
She was a charter member of the South Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals and member of the SCAEOP Retired.
Survivors include two daughters, Dana Lee S. Barnes and her husband, Bruce, and Bobbie Jo Buckner; three grandchildren Elijah Paul Rhodes, Sydney Katherine Buckner and Casey Logan Buckner; one great-grandson, Kane Alexander Cantrell; and many wonderful friends and former students. She was predeceased by a daughter, Paula Renee Snider, who died in infancy.
Memorial services will be a 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Newberry officiated by Rev. Elizabeth Morgan.
