CLINTON — Banna Franklin Braswell, 92, formerly of Clinton, and widow of John Edward Braswell Jr., passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, in the Saluda Nursing Home in Saluda.

She was born in Joanna and was a daughter of the late Jessie Glenn and Maude Bolton Franklin.

She was a former employee of Clinton Mills and Bailey Memorial Hospital and a member of First Baptist Church, Clinton.

Mrs. Braswell is survived by a son, Glenn Eddie Braswell and wife Patsy, of Laurens; two daughters, Linda B. Sheppard and husband Walter, of Silverstreet, and Ruth B. Mann and husband Tony, of Hodges; a sister, Margaret F. Dawkins and husband Raymond, of Pickens; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Franklin and a sister, Elizabeth F. Carbasco.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Jan. 28, at 3 p.m., in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, by Rev. Alice MacKeil and Rev. Dr. Blake Harwell. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. before the service.

The families will be at their respective homes.
