NEWBERRY – The annual Oyster Roast benefiting the Newberry Opera House will be held Sunday, Nov. 4, from 5-8 p.m. at the Waldrop Farm in Newberry.
The roast features oysters from Bowen’s Island as well as a variety of other food: like turkey hash, baked beans, hors d’oeuvres and decadent desserts, great beverages and even better conversation.
Bowen’s Island has received raves from such diverse publications as the New York Times and Southern Living and is frequently named as the best seafood restaurant in South Carolina.
This event is sponsored by the Newberry Opera House Guild.
Tickets are $40 and are available from the Newberry Opera House and from NOH Guild Members.
