We celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends. We get together and share the day with food and fellowship. We talk of things that have passed and talk of future plans.

Thanksgiving is a day set aside to be thankful for all the things God has blessed us with.

Sometimes we fail to realize how blessed we really are. Often we take for granted that we have plenty of food, clothes to wear, and a place to sleep.

Even though the material things seem so important to us all, how thankful we should be that God has blessed us with His Only Begotten Son, Jesus. Thanksgiving should be in our hearts each day we live. Let’s be thankful for the things God has blessed us with.

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be thankful.” Colossians 3:15

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless His name.” Psalms 100:4

Dear Lord, help us to celebrate Thanksgiving every day.
