November 2, 2016, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said, “I do not have confidence in (Comey) any longer,” calling FBI Director Comey’s letter to lawmakers 11 days before the election disclosing a new review into Hillary Clinton’s email “appalling.” Schumer is one of many Democratic leaders who called for Comey to step down or be dismissed.

The short list of Democrats calling for Comey’s ouster before and after the election included Hillary Clinton, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-NH), Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN), Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-NC). This does not include all the editorials from the mainstream media (msm) calling for Comey’s dismissal.

Obviously, Comey’s mishandling of Hillary’s email scandal provoked all these calls for his dismissal. Why didn’t President Obama dismiss Comey? First, he thought Hillary would win the election. That would be payback enough for Comey. After the election, the Obama administration began frantically maneuvering to undermine the Trump administration, and firing Comey was very low on that list of priorities.

Why didn’t President Trump dismiss Comey on his first day in office? Again, dismissing Comey was very low on Trump’s list of priorities.

After the “first hundred days” signpost of the Trump administration, people thought we could settle down. That ain’t gonna happen, and the leftwing hysteria in the aftermath of Trump’s dismissing Comey is the latest example of why Washington will never revert to business-as-usual during Trump’s tenure in the White House. The Democrats and msm are like a woman scorned, and you know what they say about her … hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

President Trump said he fired Director Comey due to his mishandling of Hillary’s email scandal, the exact same reason Democrats and msm had called for Comey’s dismissal since the election. The dismissal created a collective hysterical whiplash among Democrats and msm who began praising Comey for his investigation into Russia’s tampering with the election, calling Trump’s explanation a lie. Their beef? TIMING! Really? That’s the best they got?

Stephen Colbert, former comedian who used to be really funny (embarrassed by his election night show, but not embarrassed about his potty mouth remarks), announced Trump’s dismissing Comey on his show, only to have to calm down all the cheering and explain to his audience why they should “boo” this egregious move! Oh yeah! Remember? Nothing Trump does should be cheered! We must always agree to deride everything Trump does, even if he does what we ask him to do! Don’t you understand?

Now Democrats and msm are calling for an independent prosecutor to investigate a Russia-Trump connection. They are still saying Trump colluded with the Russians to win the election, although no one who has been investigating Russia’s involvement in the election can show any proof of a Trump-Russia connection, much less any kind of collusion. The Senate and House continue their own bi-partisan investigations into Russia’s involvement in the election, and the FBI is continuing its investigation.

For what it’s worth, naming an independent prosecutor requires evidence of a crime. In other words, the prosecutor would have to name a person(s) and name the crime(s) to be charged. There is no evidence of any crime other than hysterical innuendo and hyperbole.

America’s plea to Democrats and msm? Please calm down….
