After David committed a great sin with Bathsheba, his life was never the same. The sword never left his home and never left his heart. Though God forgave and cleansed him as he sought the Lord, he had to deal with the consequences of his sinful behavior.

David’s son Absalom rebelled against him and sought to take his kingdom from him. There is no trouble on earth like trouble in your home. There is no joy on earth like a family working together and moving forward for God.

God provides what we need to help us through all things. We try to take care of our burdens, but when they get too great for us, we then give them to God.

We are not going to live without problems, many of which we bring upon ourselves. There are needs in every life, but we can trust God who is greater than all our needs.

“But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.” Psalm 3: 3-5

God gives real peace. The Lord sustained me.
