NEWBERRY — Newberry College’s Emerald Fulmore will attend the national conference for the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators in San Diego from Oct. 13-15.

Fulmore is Newberry College’s Associate Athletic Director of Compliance and Academic Services.

“I’m very honored to have been given the opportunity to attend the 2013 NACWAA Convention and receive a participant scholarship,” Fulmore said. “As an athletic administrator for over nine years, I feel my participation in such a distinguished organization such as NACWAA will help me grow professionally to reach my ultimate goal for the future.”

The NACWAA National Convention is the premier conference for women working in intercollegiate athletics. Fulmore will be in attendance along with athletic directors, conference commissioners, coaches, senior woman administrators and other staff members from all divisions of intercollegiate athletics.

An annual event, the NACWAA National Convention will provide three days of leadership training to attendees, along with networking opportunities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to discuss practices in intercollegiate athletics, as well as current issues, trends and changes within intercollegiate athletics.
