Mid-Carolina High School loses this year’s Battle of the Bell rivalry game to Chapin High School with a final score of 22-6.

Mid-Carolina now possesses an 0-1 record, while Chapin improves to 2-0.

A rushing touchdown by Chapin quarterback Logan Bailey gave the Eagles the lead in the first quarter, and they never looked back. Chapin maintained at least a two–touchdown advantage for the rest of the game.

The Rebels’ lone score came on a touchdown catch by senior wide receiver Mackenzie Flemon, who ran past and through several defenders on his way to the end zone.

Mid-Carolina’s next game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Saluda High School.
