Piedmont Technical College

NEWBERRY — Piedmont Technical College associate degree nursing student and Newberry resident Michelle Burns was recently awarded the Lucille Brown Memorial Scholarship. The family and friends of Lucille Brown established this scholarship in her memory after her untimely death in 2014. Ms. Brown was a biology and science teacher. Her teaching career of 39 years included Piedmont Technical College. The scholarship is available to a Nursing student demonstrating academic achievement.

NEWBERRY — Piedmont Technical College automotive technology student and Prosperity resident Michael Monjoy was recently awarded the David Sherer Memorial Scholarship. This annual scholarship is available to an Automotive Technology student with a GPA of 2.5 or higher who has financial need.

Newberry College

NEWBERRY — New Newberry College students and their families recently attended New Student Orientation, known as Wolf Pack Welcome. Wolf Pack Welcome is a day-long program that offers new students and transfer students the opportunity to establish a link with faculty in their intended major, become familiar with the campus and the array of academic and campus life programs available and “take care of business” as they prepare for move-in.
