2 p.m.: Mount Zion AME Church, 459 Mt. Zion Church Road in Kinards, celebrates its 142nd church anniversary. The Rev. Dr. Elaine J. Eskew of Shiloh AME Church in Prosperity is the speaker.

Revivals/Meetings/Other Events

Lever Chapel AME Church holds its revival through Aug. 24. The Rev. Jose Lozano, the Rev. Elaine Eskew and the Rev. Michael Harp will speak at the 10 a.m. service. The Rev. Earl Clark (Aug. 22), the Rev. Eugene Rush (Aug. 23) and the Rev. Shelia Lozano (Aug. 24) are the speakers at the weeknight services at 7 p.m.
