WHITMIRE — The Whitmire Fire Department responded t0 a call at 10:12 p.m. Wednesday at Whitmire Cafe on Main Street.
Whitmire Fire Chief Michael Thomas said there was some damage where the fire started at the grill and hood area. The fire is being declared accidental although they are still looking into it.
Fire Departments from Whitmire, Consolidated, Bush River, Newberry and Rescue Squads from Whitmire, EMS and Prosperity, as well as Whitmire City Police and Newberry County Sheriff’s Office all responded.
