Fee-free day

COLUMBIA — June 11 will be a fee free day at all sites operated by the U.S. Forest Service in honor of National Get Outdoors Day. Fees will be waived at all day-use fee sites.

At the Francis Marion National Forest, day-use fees will be waived at Buck Hall and on the Wambaw Cycle Trail.

In the Sumter National Forest, day-use fees will be waived at Fell, Lick Fork and Parsons Mountain, and at the Parsons Mountain and Cedar Springs OHV Trails on the Long Cane Ranger District; and on Buncombe Horse Trail and the Enoree OHV Trail on the Enoree Ranger District.

PROSPERITY — GLEAMNS Head Start/Early Head Start is accepting applications for the 2016-2017 school year. For applications to be processed parents will need to provide the child’s birth certificate or other proof of age as well as proof of family income from previous 12 months.
