NEWBERRY — The Newberry County Chamber of Commerce is now managing the Grow Newberry Farmers Market, set to open this Saturday at 9 a.m.

The Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday thereafter until Aug. 6 in Memorial Park in Downtown Newberry.

Local farmers and artisans will have fresh produce, plants, honey, eggs, soaps, baked goods, local art, and more. When you arrive, you can grab a cup of coffee and browse the vendor booths, take in a demonstration, and visit with your neighbors.

Each week will include different demonstrations, one geared toward adults, and one toward children.

The Grown Newberry Farmers Market supports local food, celebrates the farmers and artisans who make it possible, and strives to see community dollars stay in the community. The market provides an alternative to the supermarket, where consumers can meet their farmers, buying directly from the source.
