Festival of choirs
COLUMBIA — The Palmetto Mastersingers sponsor a festival of choral music at 7:30 p.m. March 4 at First Baptist Church. Participating choirs are the B.N. Scott Choraliers, the Heart of Columbia Chorus and the River Springs Elementary School Fifth Grade Chorus. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from any participating group or at the door.
Job Fair
COLUMBIA – ECPI University’s Columbia campus will host the S.C. Midlands Job Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 9 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, 1101 Lincoln St. Admission is free. Participants will include Chambers of Commerce from the state of South Carolina, Greater Columbia, Greater Cayce West Columbia, Greater Lexington, Kershaw County and Newberry County, as well as the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce, U.S. Army, and Alpha Media. Attendees should have resumes ready and be dressed to interview. Land Trust meeting
GREENWOOD — Amanda McNulty, host of the ETV show “Making It Grow,” will be the guest speaker when the Upper Savannah Land Trust holds its annual meeting on March 24 at the Arts Center at the Federal Building.
The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for a silent auction and refreshments. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. Landowners who have donated conservation easements will be recognized and a short business meeting will be held. The Peggy Adams Conservation Award will be presented. Financial donors of Upper Savannah Land Trust are admitted free. The cost for all others is $20. The public is welcome. Dress is casual.
Endurance Race
GREENWOOD — The second annual Highlander Havoc Endurance Race, hosted by Highlander ROTC, will be held April 2 at Lander University.
