9 a.m.-2 p.m.: Belmont Baptist Church in Silverstreet holds a college student scholarship fund drive at the Speers Street Activity Center. Different food plates will be sold for prices from $4 to $8.

5-7 p.m.: Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Men’s Fellowship holds its semi-annual pork barbecue supper at the Reese Fellowship Building. All you can eat tickets are $10 for 13 and over and $5 for a child’s plate.

2 p.m.: New Faith Community Church holds its Friends and Family Day at the Hope School Community Center, 1917 Hope Station Road in Pomaria.

March 16

4 p.m.: Aveleigh Fellowship of Presbyterians holds an Easter egg hunt for children fifth grade and under at Mollohon Park on Milligan/Player streets. In the event of bad weather, the event will move to the Clubhouse, 1529 Main St. in Newberry. Sister Sister Community Outreach Ministry holds female youth and youth advisor and community youth ministry session from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first Saturday of each month at the Helena Community Center, 902 Giff St. in Newberry. A light breakfast is served.

Shiloh Outreach Baptist Church, 194 Maybinton Road in Whitmire, holds a community bible study at 6 p.m. every Tuesday.
