NEWBERRY — The Newberry Chamber Orchestra, a collaboration between Newberry College and the community, is looking for string musicians to join the college players for their spring concert

The concert “Earth Day Dancing” will be performed at 8 p.m. April 22 in Wiles Chapel. The repertoire will include classics from Respighi, Vivaldi, Bartok, Warlock, Holst and more.

Rehearsals will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays starting Jan. 19 in Room 218 of the Alumni Music Center on the Newberry campus.

If you have previous string experience on violin, viola, cello or bass, and appreciate the world of orchestral music, you’ll enjoy playing with the Newberry Chamber Orchestra.

To join the orchestra, contact orchestra director Patrick Casey by email at Patrick.Casey@newberry.edu or call 803-321-5634. If you need an instrument, let them know.
