• 6 p.m.: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Glenn Street in Newberry holds its third annual Festival of the Nativity: A celebration of the Christ Child. Collectible nativities will be on display. Musical performances on Friday and Saturday will feature choirs, soloists and musicians from surrounding communities. Musical performances begin at 7 p.m. Nativities will be on display, with no live music, on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

• 9 a.m.-noon: Grace Lutheran Church in Prosperity holds a yard sale, rain or shine, to benefit Relay for Life.
Dec. 6
• 9 a.m.-11 a.m.: Pomaria Lutheran Church, 210 Folk St. in Pomaria, holds its second day in Advent.
• 5 p.m.: Epting Memorial United Methodist Church, 1401 Milligan St. in Newberry, hosts Coffee House entertainment by Oasis. Refreshments will be served
• 6 p.m.: Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church in Peak holds evening prayer service. The place of Advent will be Shepherd’s Field. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m.
• 7 p.m.: Newberry First Baptist Church, 1020 Boundary St. in Newberry, presents a free Christmas concert featuring the Arpad Darazs Singers.
Dec. 13
• 9 a.m. -11 a.m.: Pomaria Lutheran Church, 210 Folk St. in Pomaria, holds its third Sunday in Advent.
• 6 p.m.: Saint John Lutheran Church in Pomaria holds evening prayer service. The place of Advent will be Bethlehem. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m.

• 9 a.m. -11 a.m.: Pomaria Lutheran Church, 210 Folk St. in Pomaria, holds its fourth Sunday in Advent.
• 6 p.m.: Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Chapin holds an evening prayer service. The place of Advent will be from Persia to Nazareth. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m..

• 5 p.m.: Pomaria Lutheran Church, 210 Folk St. in Pomaria, holds a Christmas Eve Festival Service with Holy Communion.
Revivals/Meetings/Other Events
• Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1279 Brown Chapel Church Road in Newberry, holds its annual Christmas Community Outreach Dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 12 to help the sick and shut-ins, homeless and less fortunate. Each church is asked to send a representative with a list of those needing assistance. Donations can be mailed to 2606 Pine St., Newberry. • Aveleigh Presbyterian Church, 1211 Calhoun St. in Newberry, holds worship services at 9:15 a.m. in the sanctuary immediately followed at 10:30 a.m. by Sunday School. Aveleigh Worship Center service begins at 11:30 a.m. in Truesdell Hall (gym).
• Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Cross Hill holds intercessory prayer and Bible study at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, mid-week services at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and worship service every Sunday beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship service beginning at 11:15 a.m.
