7 a.m.-11 a.m.: Lever Chapel A.M.E. Church, 376 Lever Chapel Church Road in Prosperity, holds a free clothing giveaway. Toys and household items also will be available.

7 a.m.-1 p.m.: St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, 6875 S.C. 219 in Newberry, holds a multi-church yard sale.

8 a.m.: Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1501 College St., will have a breakfast sale for five dollars. It will be dine in or take out and will include grits, eggs and choice of meat (bacon, smoked sausage, salmon patties, fish). The church will deliver three more more orders.

9 a.m.-1 p.m.: Holy Trinity Lutheran Church holds its 11th annual fall bazaar featuring crafts, homemade desserts, breads/jellies/jams, regular and onion pork sausage. White elephant sales are included. Breakfast sausage biscuits, homemade soups, sandwiches, cornbread and drinks will be available.

9 a.m.-1 p.m.: Lake Murray Presbyterian Church, 2721 Dutch Fork Road, holds its 12th annual Holiday Bazaar, sponsored by Lake Murray Presbyterian women. The Knit Wits will show off crocheting work and artists will display their crafts. Coffee and lunch will be served by the men of the church.

5 p.m.: Friendship Baptist Church holds an Old Fashion Sing Out.

Nov. 8

10:30 a.m.: Calvary Baptist Church on S.C. 121 holds its annual Harvest Rally.

Noon.-4:30 p.m.: James Hopewell Baptist Church holds an appreciation luncheon at the church hosted by the graduation. Each graduation is asked to have a speaker from their college.

1:30 p.m.: Old Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 3458 Beaver Dam Creek Road, celebrates its 125th anniversary. Pastor Rinzee Stansberry of New Enoree Baptist Church is the speaker.

2 p.m.: James Hopewell Baptist Church observes its 128th anniversary. Dr. Ronald “Mickey” Byrd will be recognized. Pastor James Farr of Flint Hill Baptist will be the guest speaker.

2 p.m.: Bethlehem Baptist Church celebrates the youth choir anniversary.

2 p.m.: Friendship Baptist Church holds its Men’s Day program. The Rev. Lee Outz of New Life Church in Saluda is the speaker.

Nov 14

4:15 p.m.: Hannah A.M.E. Church, 161 Deadfall Road in Newberry, celebrates the 17th anniversary of its male chorus. Call 803-924-3706 for information.

5 p.m.-7 p.m.: St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Prosperity sells country fried steak plates for $8 each, eat in or take out. Plates will include fried steak, rice and gravy, slaw, pickle, rolls and tea. Trinity A.M.E Church hosts a Captain’s Choice golf tournament on Nov. 7 at the Newberry County Club to raise money to rebuild their church. Contact Cleophus Langford at 803-924-3246 for information.

Faith Deliverance Outreach Ministry, 14679 C.R. Koon in Newberry, holds a Holy Ghost Revival at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 and Nov. 7. Pastor Germain Wright from Daily Living Ministry in Columbia is the speaker.

Grace Lutheran Church, located at the corner of U.S. 76 and Grace Street, serves a free Thanksgiving Community Meal of Grace on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26).
