Newberry High honors student-athletes

NEWBERRY — Newberry High School held its annual athletic banquet on Tuesday, handing out many awards.

Among the awards handed out, Gabe Harmon was presented the Willie L. Scott Sportsmanship Award, Ashli Jones was presented the Louise Buzhardt Sportsmanship Award and Trey Kinard was presented the Stuart Leslie Christian Leadership Award.

In addition, the following seniors were recognized: Umberto Alvarez, Hayley Bensen, Adarian Boyd, Jasmine Boyd, Mahonri Chavez, Wesley Cooper, Mahagony Cromer, Corban Cutshall, Jenna Davis, Nigeria Davis, Ethan Day, Tyrell Epps, Tyrone Etheredge, Ashlei Gallman, Tyrese Gilmore, Denisse Gordillo, Tyran Graham, Khaleed Hare, Catalina Harmon and Robert Houston.

Also, Wilshaud Johnson, Ashli Jones, Trinette Mones, Adam Kesler, Parker Kinard, Trey Kinard, Trumain Livingston, Jonathan Lopez, Bradley Love, Maria Martinez, Victor Mendoza, Lisa Morraz, Kaleb Rosemond, Ivan Ruff, Derrick Scurry, Yi Tian, Carolina Torres, RJ Wadsworth, PJ Wright, Patrick Griffith and Toby Bishop.
