NEWBERRY — Elizabeth Williamson was named Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference Division II Women’s Tennis Co-Athlete of the Month for April. She shared the award with Maddy Shaak of West Chester University.

Williamson capped off her Newberry career with a standout senior season, where she finished 20-2 overall in singles action, 10-1 in the South Atlantic Conference. Williamson also finished 19-4 in doubles matches, with a 9-2 mark in the SAC.

The Canterbury, New Zealand native was 4-0 at No. 1 singles and 3-2 at No. 1 doubles with partner Amanda Carrillo during the month of April.

The senior was named first team all-South Atlantic Conference in singles and doubles action. Williamson finished her career with 104 total wins (52 singles, 52 doubles).

This is Williamson’s fourth career ECAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Month award.
