NEWBERRY — Fabulous Finds, located in downtown Newberry beside Illusions Hair Studio and Alex Fuller Photography, has been in Newberry for the past eight years.
But Sally Crossland Cockrell, who has been the owner of Fabulous Finds for the past three years, wants to improve the store to achieve the ultimate customer satisfaction while selling items at affordable prices.
“We have a lot of costume jewelry and a ton of purses and hats at affordable prices. We’re aiming towards making gift arangements for people in nursing homes, special occasions or for co-workers that are cost effective at low prices. In June, I will have owned the store for three years,” said Cockrell.
Fabulous Finds also carries a wide selection of formal wear, so if a prom dress is needed last minute, look no further than Fabulous Finds.
There is also a large selection of Bath & Body Works for customers to choose from that would save a trip for those who can’t travel to get a last minute gift.
Monogramming is also available at Fabulous Finds, with a selection of monogrammed scarves and towels, along with a selection of shoes, jewelry and scarves for customers to purchase.
“We have plans to fix the parking lot with Illusions and Alex Fuller Photography along with combined parking to help bring curb appeal to the store front. We also participate in everything downtown like Oktoberfest and Irish Fling so we can let the community know we’re here, because most people don’t know we’re here,” said Cockrell.
Currently, Fabulous Finds carries a combination of new and pre-worn merchandise. Cockrell’s goal is to carry less pre-worn items and instead provide more new merchandise to her customers.
“We’ll still carry some pre-worn items, but mostly what we will be carrying is newer merchandise. We’re going out with consignment and in with new merchandise,” said Cockrell.
Fabulous Finds is open until 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The store opens at 10 a.m. but does not open at 10 a.m. every day.
