PROSPERITY — Smile and say cheese!
Step By Step Photography, which opened on Nov. 1, is ready to capture memorable moments by providing shoots for birthdays, engagements, maternity, newborn and weddings.
“There’s nothing in the area for photography and a lot of friends, whenever I went to school, they said that they would want a photography studio or something different than just normal antiques or shops here and there, just something to prosper the Prosperity area,” said Kristin Mrozinski, owner of Step By Step Photography.
When it comes to the type of shoots that Mrozinski does, she said she tries to be creative at every shoot. Her future plans include buying property that will allow indoor and outdoor photo shoots with western or cowboy themes.
“If someone wants to do something that’s not on my business card all they have to do is contact me and we’ll work something out,” Mrozinski said.
Prices vary depending on what type of shoot and pictures that the customer wants. Mrozinski said that she will call clients and a price will generate from there, based on the conversation.
Mrozinski handles everything from creating sets, taking pictures and editing. She usually takes 35 to 50 photos, sometimes more, which takes two to three hours to edit.
“I’ve always had an eye for photography. It’s like I’m looking through the eye of the lens all the time now, and looking at what I can turn something into. I try to really visualize things and put it through on the camera,” Mrozinski said. “Sharing memories and capturing the little things is what got me into photography. Capturing little things is important. Whenever a child is born, you’ll never get those pictures again of that one specific child. I love being around people and just trying to share their story in a picture.”
