LITTLE MOUNTAIN — Boy Scout Troop 61 in Little Mountain held its yearly Court of Honor Banquet on Nov. 15 and presented an Eagle Scout Badge to Sam Morris of Pomaria.

Morris, son of Chad and Tammy Morris, is a senior at Mid-Carolina High School. He has been with the troop since 2010 and has earned a total of 26 merit badges. He was also awarded a Bronze Palm.

His Eagle project was refurbishing two picnic tables and building two new tables for the Prosperity Wildlife Federation campsite on Lake Murray. Morris had his Eagle Board of Review in June with Buddy Andrews, Scoutmaster Billy Lindler and Committee Chairman James Torrance.

The troop also awarded 27 merit badges and 12 promotions of rank to a number of other scouts in the troop.
