NEWBERRY — An accident involving a car and a tractor trailer truck has caused SC 34 By Pass from Nance Street to Boundary Street to be closed. The accident caused over 100 gallons of diesel fuel to leak from one of the tanks of the tractor trailer.
Law Enforcement, Fire, and Haz Mat are on the scene to begin containment and clean up operations. DHEC has also been called. There were minor injuries in the accident.
The road will be closed for a significant time period while clean up takes place. Please consider an alternate route.
