NEWBERRY — Tickets for shows are available at the Newberry Opera House box office. Call 803-276-6264 or visit www.newberryoperahouse.com for reservations and more information.
This season, the Newberry Opera House is bringing three of the world’s finest finger-picking guitarists from Nashville to its stage: Thom Bresh, Richard Smith, and Tommy Emmanuel.
First to appear is Thom Bresh, son of legendary guitarist Merle Travis, who will be performing Nov. 20, at 3 p.m. In addition to his fantastic guitar technique, Bresh is a great entertainer and a quick-witted comedian. Originally from California, he began his career at age three with a loosely strung ukulele and has been going strong ever since.
Doug and Bunny Williams are the producing the show.
“It’s really a guitar show,” Doug said. “I play the guitar, and Thom is one of my heroes! The Newberry Opera House, with its great acoustics and intimacy is the absolutely perfect venue for a show like this.”
Tickets for the show are $25 and may be obtained by calling 803-276-6264 or online at newberryoperahouse.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the box office.
