PROSPERITY — Megan Caroline Grubbs was crowned the 2016 Little Miss South Carolina Overall Queen following the Little Miss and Teen Miss South Carolina pageants held July 9 through July 16 in Hartsville.

Grubbs, one of 162 contestants from across the state to compete, also won overall talent, overall evening gown and was awarded color photogenic and Miss Congeniality in her age group.

She is a sophomore at Mid-Carolina High School in Prosperity where she is a member of the Beta Club, the Student Council, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the volleyball team.

Throughout the past year, Grubba participated in multiple community service and fundraising projects throughout the state for various organizations and received the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award for her efforts.

She will spend the next year traveling the state representing her title and participating in community service events.

She is the daughter of Reagan and Missy Grubbs of Prosperity, the granddaughter of Wilma Grubbs of Leesville and Ann Boozer of Prosperity, and the great-granddaughter of Odette Baird of Saluda and Mattie Boozer of Prosperity.
