NEWBERRY — Trinity Anglican Church has chosen a site for a future building and a new space for ministry.
The building site is on Kinard Street across from J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home. A building fund was started in June for construction of a building on the site.
A new ministry space called Trinity on the Square is open at 1012 Main St. across from the Opera House in downtown Newberry.
It serves as a meeting place between the life of Trinity Anglican Church and the Newberry community, providing free water, coffee, and ministry needs.
The Rev. Ryan Streett, senior pastor of the church, and some seminary interns have office hours there from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday to Thursday. The church will lead morning and evening prayer services from the space, as well as host Bible studies for both men and women.
Trinity Anglican Church was started in 2014 as a church plant of ACNA after several residents desired to come under Anglican leadership in the form of a local church.
Trinity Anglican Church currently worships on Sundays at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. An evening prayer and Eucharist is held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mark’s. Visit www.trinitynewberry.org for more information.
