Sistercare in need of used cell phones

November 1, 2013

NEWBERRY — Sistercare is collecting old and used cell phones in any condition to be distributed to survivors of domestic abuse. Cell phones also empower survivors as they make great strides in becoming self-sufficient, providing for their children, and living violence free.

Sistercare works with Shelter Alliance to recycle the donated cell phones. Newly recycled cell phones are also provided to Sistercare which are distributed to survivors in emergency situations.

Cell phones can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Newberry DSS Office, 2107 Wilson Road.
