PROSPERITY — Lon Armstrong Field was the site of key conference match ups Thursday night as the Mid-Carolina Rebels played host to the Newberry Bulldogs.Fans familiar with recent contests knew what to expect: a close, multiple-card, physical battle with the Bulldogs using tight passing and foot skills to get multiple shots on goal, and the Rebels using explosive quickness to turn defensive stops into scoring opportunities.This one was a defensive struggle though.
